Dragon*Con 2009
It's DragonCon, need we say more? It's a costume party for 50,000 people, give or take a few thousand.

Whoa. Some of the costumes we saw were kind of strange, like Mr. Solo Cup - that's all he was wearing. And some were really cool, like Earthworm Jim and the Assholes (from Space Balls, the Movie, not Space Balls, the Flamethrower, although the kids love that one).

And here's Debbie with a furry...I mean, Chewbacca. There were a lot of slave girl Leia's - gotta love the slave girls. And Debbie liked the Spartans.

We found some good deals in the dealer's sections (there are three of them - if you go, make sure you don't miss any). Next year we'll have our steampunk costumes ready, since we picked up some much-needed pieces this year.

All in all, Dragon*Con is one big party. I highly recommend it. Although, for gaming, it does not compare with GenCon.
